Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will they fall off?

A: If Jaeger Brothers push-on stone/splash guards are installed and maintained according to our included instructions we don't think you will ever have any problems.

Be sure that the stone guards and the fender flanges where they will be mounted are clean and dry. Be sure that the molding is fully seated on the fender edge along its entire length and you are good to go. It shouldn't come off until you take it off.

As you would expect these have been carefully tested for reliability and durability.

Your satisfaction with our products is important to us.

Jaeger Brothers have been making push-on splash guards since 2005.

Q: Are you sure they wont fall off?

A: The soft EPDM push-on molding has a malleable metal core and multiple soft gripping ribs inside the u-channel that together create a very solid grip on the mounting area.

Additionally the stone guard push-on molding 'hooks" behind the fender flange and cannot be pulled off to the outside.

Tested at high speeds, and high and low temperatures in rain, mud, snow and ice, on Michigan's notorious roads since 2005. We have never lost one.

But if you ever do manage to lose one, please contact us we are here to help.

Q: Can they be adjusted for grip?

A: Yes, the soft EPDM push-on molding has a malleable metal core that can be adjusted for grip by hand or gently with pliers.

The push-on molding can be widened for thicker flanges or squeezed for extra grip. It is possible to make them so tight that they can be difficult to install or remove.

Q: Why push-on stone guards?

A: Push-on stone guards are super easy for anyone to install, and the soft materials won't damage your paint like harder materials.

No need to remove the wheel, drill holes, deal with finnicky dirt collecting tape, or use any tools at all.

But most importantly, they can be easily removed for cleaning!

Q: Why would I remove my stone guards for cleaning?

A: Normal bolt-on mud flaps can trap dirt and moisture against the bodywork and may cause long term paint damage to the vehicle.

Removable stone guards allow you to clean and detail the surfaces behind the splash guard, or return the vehicle to its stock appearance in seconds.

Q: How about automatic car washes?

A: If you really care about your vehicle we do not recommend automatic car washes.

Many things on your vehicle might become dislodged by pressure washers or automated brushes, always remove Jaeger Brothers splash/stone guards before using an automatic car wash.
